Tony Saxon is a multi instrumentalist singer / songwriter from Jersey City, NJ blending his eight octave range & versatility with his love of 1950s & 60s Garage Rock, Soul, R&B with modern day Rock N’ Roll 
 Now residing in LA, Active as a recording artist for over a decade; releasing his 8th full length album A FEW COGS SHORT OF THE CLOCK via Mint 400 Records.

A self produced, self recorded blend of 60’s soul/R&B and modern day alternative / indie rock. Recorded with no midi, no autotune and no quantizing or edits….utilizing digital recording software as though it were a tape machine. A modern yet analog process. The only instrument recorded “direct” was bass. Tony Saxon provided all lead vocals and 90% of all the backing vocals (with special guest backing vocalists such as @SpencerBreslin ) 


Tony also played all the guitar parts on the new album as well as all the bass guitar, piano, organ, alto sax, and harmonium, even peppering in a Suzuki Omnichord into the mix, utilizing a custom modified tube driven Korg SV-1 for the heavy wah/fuzzed out Clavinet sounds you hear. playing all these instruments through his custom built 1960 Music Man amplifier capturing the amp’s sound with an early EV 635a microphone. 


The new album also features two special guest drummers: Matt Olsson drums on songs 1, 4,5 6, & 7 and Tom Devinko on songs 2, 3, 7, 8, & 9) Also special guest Adam Saxxy on both baritone & tenor sax as well as flute (track 8)
